The Market unlocks tributes, and develops many technologies. These include ones that make gold, stone and wood collecting faster, ones that improve the food quantities of Farms and the Wheel, which turns villagers faster and makes chariots available.

The Market allows for selling and buying resources, building Trade Carts which get gold in other Markets and bring it back to yours, and developing Cartography (your allies see what you see) and Tribute fee reducing technologies.

Age of Empires III

First available: Discovery Age

Cost: 100 Wood

Hitpoints: 2000

A market is a store where you can buy food and wood in exchange for coins or you can sell one of the resources and earn coins. having this way of trading gives you more options in managing your colony's economy. You can also buy some upgrades in the market also.
